Okay so this isn't new, but it's an artist I think deserved a little more attention. After making it to the top 12 contestants back in 2005 for American Idol, he decided to quit the competition and pursue a solo career knowing he had already gained popularity with the show. Right away he was offered a record deal. Unfortunately by 2008 he was dropped by his label. ='[
